(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Larijani has calls to uplift economic, trade and tourism relations between Iran and Sri Lanka.
Speaking at a press conference with his Sri Lankan counterpart Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, Ali Larijani said “During the meeting with Mr. Karu Jayasuriya, issues related to economic ties and negotiations at an international level were discussed.”
The Iranian Parliament Speaker added “Very good suggestions were put forward in the economic sphere and grounds were provided for activating private sectors of both sides.”
Speaker Ali Larijani said Iranian contractors could take the emerged opportunity in the field of technical and engineering services and urged then to spare no effort in export and import arenas.
Speaker of the Iranian Parliament further voiced satisfaction towards the proposal for tourism cooperation and noted “Finding a solution to banking issues and expansion of oil and gas activities were other issues raised at the joint meeting.”
