(UTV|COLOMBO) – An individual who had one and a half kilograms of Kerala Ganja in his possession ready to be sold for Rs. 450,000 was taken into custody in Anuradhapura.
Officers of the Anuradhapura police who acted on a tip-off had made the arrest at his home in Thannaayamkulam.
The 40 year old suspect had been a tailor at a textile shop in Kilinochchi.
On interrogation it had been revealed that he had been bringing stocks of Kerala Ganja from there to Anuradhapura even prior to this.
The suspect is due to be produced before the Magistrate’s court today.
