SLPP confident of winning minority votes at Presidential poll : Prof. G.L. Peiris

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) today (Oct 14) said it is confident that its Presidential candidate Gotabhaya Rajapaksa would win minority votes at the upcoming election.

“Gotabhaya Rajapaksa will receive around 75 percent of the Buddhist votes. However, we need the support of all communities,” SLPP Chairman Professor G.L. Peiris said.

Prof. Peiris, during a news conference, declared that SLPP candidate Rajapaksa will announce his manifesto on October 18.
