(UTV|COLOMBO) – Singapore and Sri Lanka have had talks focused on cooperation in the field of Law, Sri Lanka’s Envoy to Singapore stated.
The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Singapore Sashikala Premawardhane said that she had a very interesting discussion with Edwin Tong, Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of Law on cooperation between the two countries in the field of Law.
The Minister thanked Sri Lanka for being one of the first signatories of the Singapore Convention on Mediation which was signed in August by Sri Lankan Justice Minister Thalatha Athukorale.
“We also discussed sharing experiences on important pieces of legislation developed by Singapore to tackle terrorism, money laundering, fake news and maintain religious harmony,” Premawardhane said.
