Govt. decides against publicising top 10 ranked A/Level students

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Ministry of Education has decided to refrain from publicising the top 10 ranked students in the island, based on the results of the 2019 GCE Advanced Level Examination.

A Ministry Spokesperson said the decision was reached to avoid unnecessary competition amongst students.

However the national and district level rankings required for university admission have been directly forwarded to schools.

The Education Ministry had also informed school officials to refrain from publicising the rankings.
