(UDHAYAM, BEIJING) – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Sunday (29) sent a message of condolences to his Sri Lankan counterpart Ravi Karunanayake over the country’s recent flood and landslide disasters, the Xinhua News Agency reported.
In his message, Minister Wang expressed condolences to the victims of the disasters and extended profound sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims, saying that China stands ready to exert all efforts to help the Sri Lankan Government with its disaster relief work and provide Sri Lanka with what it can offer.
He also said that China and Sri Lanka are traditional friendly neighbours, adding that China believes the Sri Lankan people will definitely be able to overcome the disasters and rebuild their homeland under the leadership of the Sri Lankan Government.
