(UDHAYAM, CAPE TOWN) – South Africa’s Lungi Ngidi says he is geared to take on the Sri Lankans in Twenty20 matches starting from Friday.
The 1st of the 3 match series will get underway in Centurion on Friday. Ngidi is one of the 6 uncapped players named in the youthful South African squad.
Speaking ahead of the T20s, Ngidi said he was focused on being consistent to outsmart the Lankans.
The 20 year old said, he has made quick progress towards the national side however said retaining a place would be a challenging task.
He said a lot of credit should goes to the coaching staff adding he gained lot of experienced playing the domestic T20 challenge cup
