Russian sail training ship departs from Colombo Harbour

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Russian sail training ship ‘Nadezda’ which arrived at the port of Colombo on 14th June, set sail from the Colombo harbour yesterday (17). The ship that is 108 .6 m in length and 14 m in width, had got 120 training cadets on-board.

During its stay in the country, the ship was open for the visit of school children, on 15,16 and 17. Besides, the ships’ crew had organised a photography exhibition on-board ship for the visitors to enjoy. Apart from that, they took part in several programmes and sporting events organised by the Sri Lanka Navy.
