(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Nate Diaz has been provisionally suspended for missing three drug tests.
The UFC says it has been informed by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) that the 32-year-old American failed to provide whereabouts information for drug testers for out-of-competition tests three times in a 12-month period.
Diaz has not fought in the UFC since he lost a rematch with Ireland’s Conor McGregor in August 2016.
The Irishman, who is fighting Floyd Mayweather in a boxing contest in August, lost the first fight between the pair, as Diaz won their welterweight bout by submission in March 2016.
But he gained revenge with a points victory at UFC 202 in a featherweight contest.
