(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – President Maithripala Sirisena stated that the education is a very important tool for the future of the country as well as it builds a complete man.
The President further said that all the investments as well as the contributions to the education of the children are a great service towards the future of the country.
He made these remarks addressing a ceremony organised to grant scholarships to children of low-income families held at the President’s House, on Tuesday (04).
These scholarships were presented to 500 children under the sponsorship of the Dinesh Weerakkody Foundation.
