UTV | COLOMBO – In an accident involving a tipper and a motorcycle occurred at Meesalai in Jaffna, a woman who was a pillion rider, was killed instantaneously, last evening (06).
The motorcycle was ridden by her husband and he was also admitted to hospital with critical injuries.
Police said the tipper while attempting to overtake another vehicle had collided head-on with the motorcycle.
The victim was a 62-year-old.
Police have arrested the tipper driver.
