(UTV|COLOMBO) – The acceptance of nominations for 93 Local Government bodies where the election will be held will conclude at noon on Thursday (14), the Elections Commission stated.
Additional Elections Commissioner R. M. A. L. Ratnayake said the acceptance of nominations for 93 Local Government bodies comes to a conclusion at noon today adding the acceptance of deposits concluded yesterday.
He stated the time period to accept nominations for the remaining 248 Local Government bodies will commence on Monday (18) and will conclude on the 21 December.
The Additional Elections Commissioner also said the acceptance of postal voting applications that is currently underway will conclude on 22 December.
