(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF), in a show of fineness managed to win the championship at the recently concluded National Taekwondo Championship 2017. According to Air Force media, both men’s and women’s titles of the tournament were won by the SLAF.
The tournament which concluded on Friday (22) at the Sport Hostel Complex Gymnasium in Colombo, saw the Air Force teams collect 9 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze medals. LAC Jayasantha HMTH was adjudged as the best male player (Fin Weight Category) of the tournament.
Previously, in November (2017) the Air Force Taekwondo Team also won the overall championship at the 3rd Korean Ambassadors Kukkiwon Cup Taekwondo Championship 2017. The tournament was held at the Sports Hostel Complex Gymnasium in Colombo from 11th to 14th (November).
