“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” dominates SAG Awards

(UTV| COLOMBO) – The Screen Actors Guild Awards have just been announced with “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” once again coming out big – for now it seems it and “The Shape of Water” have become the favorites in the race ahead of this year’s Oscar nominations.‘Blllboards’ took the best ensemble award, a best actress honor for Frances McDormand, and a best supporting actress honor for Sam Rockwell. Gary Oldman’s turn in “Darkest Hour” won best actor and Allison Janney’s in “I, Tonya” scored for supporting actress.

On the TV front, “This Is Us” won for best ensemble in a drama and best male actor in a drama series while Claire Foy won for best actress in a drama series for “The Crown”.

“Veep” scored in the comedy categories with best ensemble and actress for Julia Louis-Dreyfuss while William H. Macy won best comedy actor for “Shameless”. Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgard’s performances in “Big Little Lies” won for best actress and actor in a limited series.
