(UTV|COLOMBO) – Jim Carrey is reportedly in final negotiations to join James Marsden in the film adaptation of video game franchise “Sonic the Hedgehog” at Paramount Pictures, the Heat Vision reported.
Based on the popular SEGA video game franchise, the story centres on Sonic and his friends who run around collecting items and points as they attempt to foil the global domination plans of the mad scientist Doctor Eggman Robotnik.
Carrey will play Robotnik in the film which also stars James Marsden and Tika Sumpter. Jeff Fowler makes his directing debut on the film which will blend live-action and CG. Neal H. Moritz is producing.
