(UTV|COLOMBO) – A Ceylon Transport Board (CTB) bus ran over and killed two school children who rode on a motorcycle in Deiyandara this morning (04).
The two children succumbed to injuries after being rushed to the Nawalpitiya Hospital.
The deceased children, 16-year-old Kankanamghe Sandaruwan and 19-year-old Gurusinghege Indrajith Kumara were residents of Denagama.
Post-mortem examinations will be conducted at the Nawalpitiya Hospital today.
The bus driver was arrested in connection to the incident.
DeiyandaraPolice is conducting further investigations into the accident.
