(UTV|COLOMBO) – Michael Pena (“Ant-Man,” “Narcos”) has been set to star as Mr. Roarke, the character made famous by Ricardo Montalban, in a new film adaptation of the popular ABC series “Fantasy Island” set up at Blumhouse Productions and Sony Pictures.
Like the series, the action is set on a magical, wish-fulfilling island. The story will follow a group of guests who are warned by the island’s overseer, Mr. Roarke, that their fantasies may not play out how they expect.
Jeff Wadlow (“Kick Ass 2,” “Truth or Dare”) is attached to direct from a script by Wadlow, Chris Roach and Jillian Jacobs. Couper Samuelson will executive produce.
