(UTV|COLOMBO) – Frequent film franchise Producer Neal Moritz, who has served as a series-long Producer on the “Fast and the Furious” films, is suing Universal Pictures over the currently in production spinoff feature “Hobbs and Shaw”.
Deadline reports that Moritz is suing for alleged breach of oral contract and promissory fraud. Moritz reportedly wants to be reinstated as lead Producer on the film or be paid out “Tens of millions of Dollars in damages in lost compensation.”
Universal did not respond immediately request for comment on the lawsuit and no timeline has been indicated on how long this could take to get resolved. “Hobbs and Shaw” is currently targeting 11 August, 2019 release.
