(UTV|COLOMBO) – “Scorpion,” “The X-Files” and “Terminator 2” star Robert Patrick has joined Steven Soderbergh’s Panama Papers scandal film “The Laundromat” at Netflix.
The scandal involved leaked documents which showed how Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca allowed the wealthy and the connected to funnel money illegally in and around the world. Scott Z. Burns penned the script based on Jake Bernstein’s novel “Secrecy World”.
Patrick will take on the role of Captain Perry and begins filming his part next week. The ensemble cast includes Gary Oldman, Meryl Streep, Antonio Banderas, David Schwimmer, Will Forte, Matthias Schoenaerts, Jeffrey Wright, Chris Parnell, and James Cromwell.
