(UTV|COLOMBO) – Several Parliamentarians and Policemen were injured following the tense situation in Parliament on Friday (16).
United National Party (UNP) Parliamentarian Gamini Jayawickrama Perera and the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Parliamentarian Vijitha Herath were attacked with chilli powder-mixed water.
Herath received minor injuries after being attacked by a Constitution Book. Several Police Officers were also injured, it is learnt.
