Twelve steps must follow to bring forth No-Confidence Motion – Prime Minister’s Office

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Office of the Prime Minister on Friday (16) stated that there is a twelve-step standard procedure that needs to be followed to bring forth a No-Confidence Motion against a Prime Minister.

In a statement, Prime Minister’s Secretary S. Amarasekara stressed that the twelve-step standard procedure should be conducted in a Constitutional manner following the Standing Orders and Parliamentary traditions.

Amarasekara added that the No-Confidence Motion brought against the former Prime Minister in April 2018 had been presented legally following such due process.
