“Dark Knight” trilogy returns to cinemas

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that Christopher Nolan’s acclaimed “The Dark Knight” trilogy is set to score a re-release to celebrate Batman’s 80th anniversary this year.

Starting on March 30th, Warner Bros. is hosting a special one-day screening of all three of the acclaimed films – 2005’s “Batman Begins,” 2008’s “The Dark Knight” and 2012’s “The Dark Knight Rises” – back-to-back in a specialized 70mm IMAX format.

The first screening will be held at the Universal City AMC in Los Angeles, followed by April 13th screenings at AMC Lincoln Square in New York and AMC Metreon in San Francisco, and concluding with April 20th screenings at Cinesphere Ontario Place in Toronto, and the IMAX Theatre at the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis.

An interval between the second and third films of the Los Angeles screening will feature a moderated Q&A session with Nolan himself. Subsequent screenings will all feature the footage of Nolan’s Q&A session from that inaugural screening.

Tickets for the screenings will go on sale on March 13th at 9am and fans will receive a special lanyard and Dark Knight trilogy collectable with their tickets.
