(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Rahula College Katugastota entered the semi-finals of the under 19 Singer division III level I cricket tournament when they beat la cricketers beat St. Mary’s College Matugama in the quarterfinals on first innings at Rajasingha grounds, Hanwella on Friday.
Sri Rahula scored 166 in 58 overs with Dilshan Arambegedera making a good 45, the three bowlers who performed well with the ball are Harsha Sandaruwan 4 for 42, Chamod Kalindu 3 for 29 and Thilina Chamod 2 for 18 .
St. Mary’s in their turn continuing from their first day total of 112 for 6 were all out for 152 in 55.5 overs Heshan Welgama made 57 but the rest of the batting fell to Dilshan Arambegedera who took 6 for 41.
Sri Rahula in their second innings were 208 for 5 when play ended with Lahiru Wijewardene 59 and Janith Mahitipe 56 scoring unbeaten half centuries.
