(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Federal Judge of Maryland State, Theodore Chuang, temporarily blocked US President Donald Trump’s revised travel ban.
The decision came hours after Hawaii’s Federal Judge, Derrick Watson, also blocked the travel ban from came into effect yesterday (16th March).
Attorney Generals of the states of New York, Massachusetts, Washington and Oregon have also made clear of their intentions to challenge the travel ban at the federal courts in each of their states.
However, Trump signaled that he is ready to fight the legal challenges to the ban in the Supreme Court, at a rally held in Nashville, Tennessee on 15th March.
