Bribery Commission files case against Mahindananda

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) on Thursday (27) filed a case in the Permanent High Court Trial-at-Bar against the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Mahindananda Aluthgamage and the former Chairman of Sathosa Nalin Fernando of causing a financial loss to the Government amounting to Rs. 53 million.

Former Minister Aluthgamage and Fernando accused of causing the financial loss by importing Carrom boards and checkers boards to be distributed to Sports Clubs during the last Presidential Election.
