(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Presidential Secretariat says a stringent system has been introduced to recruit and promote Policemen in executive grades.
The President’s Media Division said the approval of the National Police Commission has already been granted.
The PMD said steps have been taken to promote 31,500 Constables to Inspectors of Police under several stages.
A discussion in this regard took place between Senior Police officers and President Maithripala Sirisena last morning.
