(UTV|COLOMBO) – At least 25 people were injured when a SLTB bus and a van collided in the Deegampatha -Dambulla area.
It is reported that four people are in a critical condition.
A SLTB bus traveling from Colombo to Trincomalee was involved in the accident.
The van was travelling to kinniya.
It is suspected that this accident may have occurred due to the failure of the bus to control the speed due to the heavy rains.
The accident resulted in a heavy traffic congestion in the Deegampatha area on the Dambulla-Habarana road.
Sigiriya police are conducting further investigations regarding the accident.
