(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Election Commission says it will accept changes to the 2019 Electoral Register until the 19th of September.
Speaking to a prominent online news portal, the Director General of Elections Saman Sri Rathnayake said the public should notify changes, if any, to the Election Secretariat before the deadline. The 2019 Electoral Register is now on display at all Grama Niladhari offices.
Two separate lists, an amended electoral register and a list containing the names that were removed from the 2018 Electoral register are on display from the 23rd of August.
