(UTv|COLOMBO) – A 19-year-old girl and her 8-year-old brother were found hacked to death at Waikkal in Wennappuwa this morning, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
He said the tragedy had reportedly occurred due to a dispute over a land among two neighbours.
A 28-year-old suspect, who had allegedly hacked the girl and the boy with a sword, had surrendered to the Wennappuwa Police.
