SriLankan Airlines to resume normal operations following full reopening of BIA

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka’s national carrier, SriLankan Airlines will resume normal operations throughout its global route network from 7th April 2017, following the resumption of full services at Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), which had been partially closed for three months while its runway underwent resurfacing.

“SriLankan wishes to express its gratitude to all its stakeholders for their patience and assistance during this period, especially its valued customers, all of the airline’s staff who worked tirelessly to limit the inconvenience to passengers, and its partner organizations at BIA,” the airline said in a statement.

With effect from Friday, 7th April 2017, passengers may arrive at the airport three hours before scheduled departure time of their flights.
