(UTV|COLOMBO) – Accepting nominations for the forthcoming Presidential Election commence this morning (07) at the Office of the Elections Commission.
Forty-one candidates including Sajith Premadasa of the Democratic National Front, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa of the Sri Lanka Podujana Party, Anura Kumara Dissanayake of the National People’s Power, Mahesh Senanayake of the National People’s Movement, Chamal Rajapaksa of the Sri Lanka Podujana Nidhahas Sandhanaya, Ajantha Wijesinghe Perera of the Socialist Party of Sri Lanka, Venerable Battaramulle Seelarathana Thera of the Jana Setha Peramuna, Rohan Pallewatta of the National Development Front, Duminda Nagamuwa are currently submitting nominations for the Election.
Objections related to nomination of candidates will be accepted till 11.30 AM today.
