Shivajilingam says he received death threats

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Former Parliamentarian MK Shivajilingam says he has received death threats after he submitted nominations to contest the upcoming Presidential Election.

Shivajilingam said he requested the Chairman of the Election Commission to grant him Police protection.

The Chairman of Elections informed the Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police in-charge of the Northern Province to provide necessary Police protection, reportedly.
