(UTV|COLOMBO) – Health Officials said that the number of dengue patients had increased as a result of recent rains.
4,155 dengue patients had been recorded during the month of October.
In 2018, a total of 51 thousand 659 dengue patients were reported while this year by now 55 thousand 894 cases have been reported.
Meanwhile, the MET Department said that showery condition is expected to enhance to some extent over most parts of the island, particularly Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva and North-western provinces today.
