(UTV|COLOMBO) – President Maithripala Sirisena issued an Extraordinary Gazette Notification calling out all Armed Forces Members for the maintenance of public order from 22 October in view of the forthcoming Presidential Election.
Accordingly, personnel belonging to the Army, Navy and the Air Force would be deployed in the 25 districts and territorial waters as stipulated in the extraordinary gazette notice.
