(UTV|COLOMBO) – Navy apprehended five persons who failed to prove their identity, during a raid carried out in Ja-Ela area in the dawn yesterday (23).
Accordingly, these persons who were traveling in a suspicious van and failed to prove the identity in the search, were apprehended at the road block near the Ja Ela Urban Council deployed by the Western Naval Command. Among the suspects there were 03 Indians and 02 Sri Lankan Tamils. Two Sri Lankans are residents of Yatiyanthota and Matale areas.
The suspects and the van were handed over to Ja Ela Police for further investigation.
