(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Navy, during a search carried out in the beach area of Devgala in Trincomalee, managed to find 01 charger made using gelignite and 01 water gel stick which are commonly used in illegal fishing activities.
The Eastern Naval Command during a search carried out in the beach area of Devgala found these explosive items hidden in sand.
Among the recovered items were 01 charger, 01 water gel stick, 01 detonator and 01 fuse. It is believed that the items have been concealed with the intention of using them later to catch fish.
