(UTV|COLOMBO) – With rain washing out play in the first two days the first under 19 cricket test between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh ended in a draw at Barisal yesterday.
Sri Lanka under 19 who won the toss and batted first reached 331-7 declared with skipper Nipun Dhananjaya (67), Sonal Dinusha (58) and Dunith Wellalage (50 n.o.) scoring half-centuries apiece.
Dhananjaya and Dinusha figured in a 113-run stand for the fourth wicket.
Bangladesh under 19 were struggling at 142 for 6 wickets when the game ended. Alvi Hoque top scored with 54 with Matheesha Pathirana who took 3 wickets for 13 runs on his debut was adjudged Man of the Match.
