(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka Navy apprehended 3 suspects with 980 milligrams of heroin during a raid carried out in coordination with Police Special Task Force (STF), in Rambewa yesterday (07).
A suspicious motorbike had been observed during a raid carried out by North-Central Naval Command in coordination with Police STF in Settikulama. While searching the bike 980 milligrams of heroin which was being transferred for sale, was recovered in the possession of the bike riders. The suspects and the motor bike were subsequently taken into Naval custody.
The 3 suspects are residents of Anuradhapura area, aged between 26 and 41. The suspects along with heroin and motorbike were handed over to Madawachchiya Police for further investigation.
