(UTV|COLOMBO) – Presidential candidate of the National Movement for People’s Power, Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake says only the National Movement for People’s Power can help uplift the people.
Speaking at a rally in Wariyapola, the MP noted that people will surely taste victory only if the symbol of the compass is victorious.
He requested the people to decide if they want to change the direction, they have taken for the past 71 years, or continue on the same path.
The MP pointed out that people usually are of the mindset that, if they clap for the winning team, they themselves will be winners.
Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake added that people are thinking that the JVP cannot win because the other two parties have more potential to win.
Replying to these claims, MP Dissanayake said the people are of the mindset that supporting the two main political parties will help them to victory.
He noted that in reality, the people have lost, but the politicians have won.
Although people light firecrackers and applaud for the party they think will win, the Parliamentarian pointed out that the people have already lost.
The MP reiterated that the people will surely taste victory only if the symbol of the compass is victorious.
The Presidential candidate requested the people to choose between the side where the people will lose, or the side that will surely have the people win.
