(UTV|COLOMBO) – A Ukrainian female arrived from Bangalore, India has been arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) while attempting to smuggle in 20 gold biscuits valued at Rs. 20 million.
The gold, weighing 2.32 kilograms, was concealed in her shoes.
The 42-year-old Ukrainian, who has arrived in the country on couple of occasions, is being held by the BIA Customs for further investigations.
