Malinga retained by Mumbai Indians

(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sri Lanka T20I skipper fast bowler Lasith Malinga has been retained by Mumbai Indians ahead of the 2020 IPL auctions scheduled for December 19 in Kolkata.

While most franchises have released high profile players such as Chris Lynn, Jaydev Unadkat, Robin Uthappa, Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Morris, Mohit Sharma, Colin Ingram, Marcus Stoinis, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Colin de Grandhomme, Tim Southee, Hetmyer, Yusuf Pathan, Shakib Al Hasan and Martin Guptill, Mumbai Indians have decided to retain the 37-year-old veteran bowler who carried them to a thrilling last ball one-run victory over Chennai Super Kings in the 2019 final.
