(UTV|COLOMBO) – General Secretary of the United National Party (UNP) Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has requested Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya to appoint former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Opposition Leader.
Kariyawasam informed the Speaker in writing that his party nominated Wickremesinghe as the Opposition Leader.
