(UTV|COLOMBO) – Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Major General (Rtd) Kamal Gunaratne met last evening and discussed matters related to national security, the Defence Ministry said.
Making his first formal visit upon assumption of duties as the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Major General (Rtd) Kamal Gunaratne paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees.
During the courtesy visit, the Prime Minister and Secretary Defence had a cordial discussion with regards to national security, the Defence Ministry said.
The Secretary Defence later presented a memento to the Prime Minister.
