(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Colombo Port City yesterday (07) formally declared as a part of Sri Lanka during an event held yesterday (07).
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa graced the occasion with the Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Cheng Xueyuan.
The 269 hectare reclaimed land at Galle Face has now been opened for investments.
The project was funded by China and constructed by a Chinese company.
A commemorative stamp and first day cover was also issued in view of occasion.
