(UTV|COLOMBO) – A recommendation has been put forth to transfer the former Minister, Parliamentarian Dr. Rajitha Senaratne, who is presently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo to the Prisons Hospital.
Senaratne is presently in remand custody under the protection of Prison Officials.
Senaratne, who is in the Cardiac Unit of the hospital, was visited by a Doctor of the Prisons Hospital this morning (29) who following observations recommended that the Parliamentarian be transferred to the Prisons Hospital.
Senaratne, was arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on Friday (27) over the controversial alleged ‘White Van’ abductions media briefing, and was remanded till tomorrow (30).
