(UTV|COLOMBO) – The female employee attached to the Switzerland Embassy in Colombo, who claimed she was detained and threatened by unknown persons, is set to be produced in Court today (30).
Officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) commenced investigations pertaining to the incident after a complaint was made over an incident where a female employee attached to the Switzerland Embassy in Colombo was allegedly detained against her will on the street and threatened at length in an attempt to pressure her into releasing information.
However, initial investigations revealed that she had provided contradicting statements over the incident, and thereby she was ordered to be arrested and remanded on charges of providing false statements.
