(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Parliamentarian Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero stated that he will act as an Independent Member of Parliament (MP) hereafter without affiliations to any political party.
He stressed that he was keen to create awareness among the people for the need to set up a National Council with inputs from intellectual politicians and others.
However, Rathana Thero also emphasized that he has no intention of joining the Opposition.
