(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Northern Tamils commemorate victims of the final stages of war on Thursday (18) with the main event held at the Mullivaikal memorial.
Tamil National Alliance (TNA) leader R. Sampanthan and Northern Province Chief Minister C. V. Wigneswaran attended the Mullivaikal memorial event.
A three-minute silence was observed for those killed during the battle after which Chief Minister Wigneswaran and others delivered statements to mark the event.
