(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Many areas in the country have been affected by floods due to heavy rainfall. The prevalent rains have had a heavy impact in the Southern and Sabaragamuwa Provinces.
The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said people of Kelani-Ganga related Divisional Secretariat areas in the Kolonnawa, Biyagama, Kelaniya, Kaduwela, Dompe, Hanwella, Padukka and Avissawella are advised to take adequate measures to face a major flood situation.
