President to discuss SriLankan Airlines issues

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The SriLankan Airlines is making losses and President Maithripala Sirisena has said that it will be discussed at the next Cabinet meeting.

Minister of Health Dr. Rajitha Senaratna made these comments at the weekly Cabinet briefing held on Wednesday (14) at the Department of Government Information.

He further said that the board members of SriLankan Airlines have also been called for the discussion as well as any Minister who likes.

Meanwhile, speaking of the Postal Union strike he said that they are protesting against a hotel to be built on a building with a historical value, but world over post offices have been converted to hotels maintaining their original beauty for example Sofitel Hotel in Munich Germany was a post office built in 1867, Sweden Post was converted to Clarion Hotel. “We should move with times,” said the Minister.
